Awesome Authors
|

Mackenzie McKade writes
stunning characters, deep emotional tension and love scenes hot enough to
melt glass! Lisa's Gift in particular is incredible - it's a bdsm love story
about the power of friendship.
If you haven't read this author yet... what are you waiting for? |
M.L. Rhodes is
one of the best m/m writers I've read. Her manlove stories are full of
strong, gorgeous guys struggling to overcome adversity and find their
soulmates. I read Falling in one sitting, staying up until the wee hours
even though I had work the next day! That, folks, is writing. |
Holy
cow. Joey Hill's 'Nature of Desire'
series is hands-down some of the best heavy bdsm fiction I've read - just
the right mix of fantasy and reality, with the storytelling ability and
emotional charge similar to Anne Rice's Exit to Eden (not the movie - the
book. Read it!). It's hard to write female dominants in
ways that make the reader sympathetic, but Joey Hill pulls it off. Read
anything by this woman; you won't be disappointed! |
J.M. Snyder is
another fabulous m/m writer who tells one heck of a story. J.M. is an
AmberHeat Contest winner (like me!) but was already multi-published, and
rightly so. This particular collection of short stories runs the gamut from
naughty to pants-meltingly hot. Definitely worth all the time you can spare
to read. |
For
a great, hot read, you can't go wrong with
Amber Scott. This gem of a story
chronicles exactly what happens when two people come together for all the
wrong reasons, only to discover that nothing feels so right. Sensual and
deeply satisfying! |
Jamie
Craig is the pseudonym for the awesome erotica writing team of Vivien
Dean and Pepper Espinoza. All I can say is, yayy for them getting together
because their writing rocks! They run the gamut from gay vampire bdsm
(which, face it, there just isn't enough of now that Angel's off the air) to
sweet but steamy contemporary romance. Give them a try! |

Informative non-commercial sites that deal with BDSM & Gay,
Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered (GLBT) lifestyles. |
|
PFLAG - Parents, families,
friends of GLBT people |
Useful if you're looking for information on the issues
GLBT people deal with. Good place to start if you're writing m/m but aren't
gay yourself. :) |
|
Bisexual Resource
Center |
Like PFLAG, only focused on issues and support for
bisexuals. Excellent articles and info. |
|
Arizona
Power Exchange (APEX) |
Large, active BDSM group. Check out the 'Rants and
Academia' section -it's chock-full of scholarly articles and information
about the BDSM lifestyle. |
|
BDSM 101
at Albany (NY) Power Exchange |
Excellent basic overview of BDSM. Start here if you you're
thinking about writing kink but don't know much about it. Heck, it's a good
site for checking out the real-life equivalent of what you might have
read in BDSM erotic romance. |
|
Alternative Lifestyle Shopping |
Yup, these are sites where you can buy all manner of erotic
and/or kink gear. I'm not affiliated with any of them - buy (or
whatever) at your own risk. But they're great places to look at photos of
different kinds of gear that you might use for your own erotica - or, you
know, if you're shopping for something naughty. :) |
|
JT's Stockroom |
Did you take the Kinky Quiz on my Fun Stuff page yet? If so,
yup, this is the fetish site that's mentioned. I recommend taking this site
in small doses, otherwise the sheer variety of products offered will make
your brain explode. |
|
The Sub-Shop |
Online fetish store that's primarily geared toward female
submissives. It's been around for ten years - the redheaded model in many of
the product shots is the owner. |
|
Mr. S Leather |
Web presence of a high-end U.K. based fetish store. Models
and customer base are primarily male. |
|
Alternative Lifestyle Events |
Yep, kinksters have conventions, with sales booths and
organized evening events. A little more exotic than the dry-chicken and rice
dinner your professional organization puts on. :) |
|
Folsom Street
Fair |
San Francisco-based (naturally) leather event/parade. Mostly
GLBT participants from San Francisco's extensive leather community. |
|
Thunder in
the Mountains |
Pansexual (all orientations) leather event in Denver every
summer. Features daily workshops, booths, talent show and big parties each
night. A lot like the Romantic Times convention for kinksters. |
If you can think of another resource you'd like to see listed
here, email me and let me know!
Nearly all of my erotica involves some aspect of BDSM or dominance/submission,
so I hope the above links were helpful if you were looking for more information
about this fascinating lifestyle.
